Summer League Registration 2009

Ok folks - the time to register for summer league is open!

LUC will be running THREE leagues this year.

1 and 2 - CO-ED Recreational (B) and Competitive (A).

On Wednesday nights there will be a CO-ED (Co-ed means 3 girls, 4 guys on the field at any time) A and B tiered league on Wednesday nights at St. George's Rugby fields.

Both of these leagues will be a team based. A typical roster is 14 players (8 guys and 6 girls). The league will start May 20th and run to the end of August.

Recreational - B side games will start between at 6 and 7 pm.

Competitive - A side games will start at 6:30 pm and games will be 90 minutes.

If you are short on players do not fret - we will have copious free agents available for pick up! If you are a free agent - don't worry - in the past we have been able to find places for all of our free agents!

The team cost will be $400 for A & B teams.

Teams registering after April 17th will face a $50 late fee.

You will be contacted to confirm your application and we will give you instructions on payment then.

3 - CO-ED Hat League

On Monday nights we are going to run a hat league. Hat leagues are designed to allow players the oppurtunity to play with and meet different people. They are excellent for new and old players - allowing both an oppurtunity to improve and meet new people. Generally players can sign up in groups of a maximum of 3 minumum of 1. Players will then be assigned teams to create balanced teams.

The league will run from June 1st, for 12 weeks at the TD Waterhouse stadium. Games will be played at 7 pm and the cost will be $40 per person.

 LUC Membership 2009

A reminder that ALL players in any LUC league are required to be Club members (the yearly club fee is $15 and expires Dec 31st 2009).

Please note:

1) As per league rules - during the regular season any team may pickup any player for 1 game.

2) Foot blocks are *only* allowed on the A side and *only* if both captains agree

3) Teams are required to match genders by Captain agreement.  Please use good judgement e.g. do not make a team match genders if they have only 3 girls present, do not use it to gain an advantage.
