2010 Indoor League

In 2010, LUC is very happy to be able to offer two levels of ultimate this winter! Registration for both Comp and Rec will open Saturday, November 28th at 2 pm. Payment for both leagues is due December 14th. We expect the leagues to fill quickly so please register early to avoid disappointment. Registration is considered complete once we have received a confirmation email from your captain and payment.  Remember indoor ultimate is continuous and a very quick game!

REC!

Recreational will take place on Saturdays between 5 and 9 pm starting January 16th at the NLOCC and will run on consecutive weeks until the end of March. The Recreational league will be 6 on 6 (3 girls and 3 guys) fully continuous ultimate with changes on the fly. Each game will start no later then 5 minutes after the start time and time cap will be called 5 minutes to the next time slot. At the end of the season, the top half of the teams will play a playoff and the bottom half will play a playoff based on regular season results.  We recommend having at least 12 players on a rec roster! Cost for Rec will be $700 per team. All captains will be required to attend (or send someone from your team to attend) a captains meeting to be scheduled at a later date.

COMP! A League of sevens!

Competitive has a slightly different structure this year. Instead of submitting full teams, captains will submit *lines* of seven players. In any given one hour time slot, a line of seven will join with another line of seven to create a team which will then play another team. The idea being that all players will play together and each week the teams will be varied and competetive. All games will be 7 on 7 (3 + 3 + 1 of either gender). Comp will be $80 per player for 11 weeks of ultimate.

We are making the adjustment to Comp in order to allow free agents and Rec players easier access to a competetive league. There will be no playoffs in Comp. The schedule for Comp is below (played at the Agriplex unless otherwise stated).

March 1st – Monday 7-10pm

March 19, 26 at Fanshawe College -- Thursdays 6-9pm

Please be advised that there will be no foot blocks in Rec and subsitution is on the fly.

A reminder that all players will be required to pay the 2010 LUC membership dues if they have not already ($15.00).

There is currently no restriction on Comp players playing on the Rec side - however if a particular teams roster is considered Comp heavy it will be reviewed prior to the start of the season.
