Touring Information
One of the London Ultimate Club's founding goals is to help develop tournament level play in the London area. Currently our main focus falls on London Calling and two travelling teams (think Globetrotters) who call London home.
London Calling is our annual co-ed tournament usually held the second weekend in August. The tournament typically hosts between 24 and 30 teams from around Ontario and some from nearby states.
Glow is London's women's touring team. Founded in 2007 Glow has an extremely cohesive team atmosphere where everyone is made welcome. Their coach, and President of LUC, is Devin Hanes. With his expertise, his wife Jill's guidance and captain Carolyn DeGroot, Glow has made significant strides in 2008 and has a great future ahead.
Druid is the co-ed answer to Glow. Druid, somewhat like Prince, has been known by many names in the past. We've yet to try the whole symbol-only name thing, maybe next-year. Many of the core players have been playing A-level co-ed tournaments since LUC was formed in about 1996. With this experience backing us, the team is currently trying to build into something bigger, better, stronger and faster... wish us luck. Stay tuned to the Druid page/feed for news as we will be having try-outs and meetings starting in February or March. Druid is currently steered by Pat Pace, Dan Barber and Nick Gifford.
