Summer League 2013

Monday Nights (6:30-8:30)

Competitive Division - For players who have played for several years, have touring experience, and are very confident throwing backhands, forehands, and other types of throws.  Players who have an understanding of different defensive and offensive styles including different zones and stacks.  This division is for teams that wish to push themselves and possibly train for tournaments.

Recreational division - For beginner players. This is the division where you will have fun and learn the basic rules and throws.  Players who have never played before or who have only played a couple of times should sign up for this division.

Wednesday Nights  (6:30-8:30)

Intermediate Division - For players with experience.  Players should be confident throwing both forehand and backhand, they should understand the basic rules of ultimate and the general strategy including handling, cutting and mark positions and the force.  In this division players will increase their knowledge fo the game.  

Fields

St. George's Rugby Club - On Dundas st. East of Veterans Memorial.  

Google Maps Direction to the Fields  and field numbers. 

Registration

Free agents - register and pay $60 league fees and we wil place you on a team.

Team Captains - register your team name and pay the team league fees and we will open your team for your individual players to  to join your roster.

Individual players will need to join their roster once team captains have sign up their teams.  This will be open Friday April 5th.

Cost 

Early bird registration: $800/team or $60/free agents. Regulary Cost: $920.00/team. Payment can be made either via the LUC web store, on to the League Convenor at the fields.  Early bid deadline by the end of the day on the first night of league.

Rules:

 LUC follows the 11th Generation Ultimate Rules also please read the Spirit of the Game (SOTG) philosophy.

Policies:

The league coordinator will sound a horn at 6:30 to signify the start of the game.  Games will be played to 15 points or time cap of 8:30 (or as decided by captains based on light conditions).

Footblocks are in play every game for the competitive division, for the intermediate division this is based on captains decision and they are not allowed for the recreation division.

Rain - At St. George's Rugby Club we play rain or shine

Lightening - Our league convenor will cancel if necessary via facebook and twitter before the game starts, or with a horn if games have already started.
