What is Ultimate?

Ultimate is an exciting, co-ed team sport, played by thousands the world over. It mixes the best features of sports such as soccer, basketball, american football and netball into an elegantly simple, yet fascinating, and demanding game. Ultimate is a non-contact sport played by two teams of seven players, on a field similar to a football field, with two end zones. The objective is to score points by catching the Frisbee or “disc” in your end zone. Players cannot run with the disc, but must plant a pivot foot similar to basketball.  Players who catch the disc have 10 seconds to pass to their teammates.   If the disc is dropped, possession switches to the other team.
